Planned Giving

A planned gift to Ohlhoff Recovery Programs allows you to create a legacy for the community, as you support treatment services for those suffering from alcohol and drug addiction. There are several ways to make a planned gift.

Planned Giving

WILLS AND LIVING TRUSTS

Charitable bequests made through wills or revocable living trusts are a popular way to support our organization.  Bequests are simple to arrange, offer flexibility, and can reduce estate taxes.

RETIREMENT PLAN ASSETS

In many cases, donating some or all of the assets from your IRA, 401(k), or other qualified retirement plan, is a smart option. Gifts can be made during your lifetime or through your estate.

TAX FREE CONTRIBUTION

The Tax Relief Act signed by President Obama on December 17, 2010 extends the Pension Plan Act of 2006 provision allowing people over the age of 70-1/2 to donate as much as $100,000 from their IRAs and Roth IRAs to charity tax-free.These IRA distributions can count toward the required minimum distribution that IRA holders who are 70-1/2 are older must take from their accounts each year. If the distribution is contributed directly to charity, the donor is not required to pay income taxes on the withdrawal!
